NATIONAL paddler Li Jiawei, 27, and husband Li Chao, 36, will hold their Beijing wedding ceremony on April 25.
The world No. 7 is in the Chinese capital preparing for her big day. She will give the upcoming Pro Tour German Open, starting March 19, and April's World Table Tennis Championships, a miss.
A statement issued by the Singapore Table Tennis Association on Monday said the move was to ease her anxiety of having to oversee her marriage preparations and ensure top-form in the coming competitions.
The couple met through a mutual friend in March last year, and married in Beijing on Sept 26 after a whirlwind, six-month romance.
