A 27-YEAR-OLD man was charged in court on Monday for molesting his maid just two months after she came to work for him.
Ren Ji, faces four charges of insulting the 25-year-old domestic worker's modesty once and molesting her three times. He is a China national and a permanent resident here.
The alleged incidents took place from August to September last year.
The first incident took place one morning when the father of a one-year-old girl was said to have flashed his private part at the maid in the bedroom of his Bukit Panjang flat.
He then went on to molest the Indonesian maid three more times in the next two months, according to the charges.
On these three occasions, he allegedly hugged the maid around her body below her chest.
All three incidents took place in the morning and happened in the bedroom and living room.
Ren was offered bail of $20,000. His passport was also impounded.
For each of the outrage of modesty charge, Ren faces jail of up to three years, fine or caning.
