BOC Aviation said on Monday it has struck a buy-and-leaseback deal involving four aircraft with Australia's second largest airline.
The Singapore-based aircraft leasing firm acquired four planes from Virgin Blue, including three new Boeing 737-800 jets, and will lease them to the Australian carrier for an average of 10 years, it said in statement giving no indication of the money involved.
The financial details of such deals are usually not available, a company spokeswoman said.
BOC Aviation is owned by the Bank of China and it owns 85 planes with another 70 on order, the company website said. -- AFP
