Peeping Tom jailed
By Elena Chong
A BANGLADESHI construction worker was jailed for three weeks on Monday for peeping at a woman in a public toilet.

Atiqur Rahman Abdul Motin, 39, admitted to insulting the modesty of a 38-year-old production operator in a female toilet at Ang Mo Kio MRT station on Feb 8.

A woman auxiliary police officer caught him lying on the floor peeping through a gap underneath the cubicle door when she stepped in at about 6.10am that day.

Shortly before that, the victim had walked in first and used the toilet next to the one in the centre.

The officer detained him and called the police.

A criminal trespass charge against Atiqur was taken into consideration.

He could have been jailed for up to one year and/or fined.
