THE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, General Alexander Yano, called on Singapore's Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean on Thursday morning
Gen Yano, who is in Singapore for a three-day introductory visit from Wednesday to Friday, also called on Chief of Defence Force, Lieutenant-General Desmond Kuek. He will visit the Army's Headquarters Training and Doctrine on Friday.
Mindef said in a statement that Gen Yano's visit underscores the warm and friendly defence ties between Singapore and the Philippines.
The Singapore Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Philippines interact regularly through courses and other professional exchanges.
