THE fate of the long-drawn collective sale case of Horizon Towers - heard on Tuesday afternoon at the Court of Appeal - will be sealed this Friday.
Chief Justice Chan Sek Keong, Judge of Appeal Andrew Phang and V K Rajah, are reserving judgement until 4pm that day.
The three had earlier heard the collective sale case of Gillman Heights, which they will decide on Wednesday.
Horizon Towers was purchased collectively by Hotel Properties and its two partners for $500 million back in early 2007, before the property market peaked months later.
The case took a long break recently after the High Court dismissed the appeal of objecting owners in July last year.
On Wednesday, four sets of minority owners were in court appealing against the sale, arguing that it was not done in good faith.
One of them, Mr Rudy Darmawan, represented himself in court while the rest were represented by Senior Counsel Harry Elias.
They were up against Senior Counsel Chelva Rajah, representing the majority owners. The buyers are represented by newly appointed Senior Counsel Ang Cheng Hock of Allen & Gledhill.
About 50 people, many of them residents, were in the gallery.
