Engineer on threat charge

AN ENGINEER was charged in court on Friday with threatening to kill his wife.

Teo Kim Voon, 50, allegedly shouted: 'I want to kill you'' with intent to cause alarm to Madam Fun Yin Yin at a flat in New Upper Changi Road on Thursday.

He is also accused of pointing the knife at the neck of his wife, a service engineer, in a threatening manner that morning.

Bail of $10,000 was allowed. His passport was impounded.

The case will be mentioned on Feb 13.

If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to two years and a fine on each charge.
