THE two Government agencies promoting marriage, the SDU and SDS, got 'hitched' on Wednesday.
The merger of the Social Development Unit (SDU) and Social Development Service (SDS) will bring about a bigger pool of singles for those looking to find partners.
The new entity, which is now hunting for a new name, will offer 'more services and opportunities' for singles to find their mates, a press release issued by the SDU-SDS said on Wednesday morning.
The SDU was set up in 1984 to address the problems of graduates who were not getting married, and the SDS was started a year later in 1985 to promote marriage among non-graduates.
