A KITCHEN cleaner was charged on Thursday morning with allegedly murdering his one-year-old daughter.
Sallehan Allaudin, 26, is believed to have committed the offence at about 7.30pm on Tuesday at the family's rental flat in Block 191 Boon Lay Drive.
Baby Natalie Nikie Alisyia Sallehan died in the National University Hospital about two hours later.
If convicted, he will be hanged.
Looking rather lost, a handcuffed Sallehan scanned the public gallery looking out for his wife Rozana Mohd Yusof.
He then asked the judge: 'Where's my wife?'
His lawyer said she was not in court.
Sallehan was ordered to be remanded for further investigations.
As he was being led away, he told the District Judge John Ng: 'I had no intention.'
He will appear in court next Thursday.
