AN INSTITUTE of Technical Education student allegedly set off a marker pen-bomb on board a bus last October.

Christopher Ko Zi Jie, 17, who is autistic, is alleged to have committed the offence on board SBS Service 154 along Jalan Toa Payoh on Oct 30 last year.

He also faces four other charges.

One states that he had in his possession one each of self-improvised metal firing device of a pen gun design, flare/smoke grenade made of metal pipe and aluminium firing device of a miniature cannon at a flat in Clementi Avenue 3 the same day.

He is accused of having a fellow MacPherson ITE student's EZ-Link card at Tan Tock Seng Hospital's accident and emergency department.

Two other charges on May 31 state that he threatened to stab and shoot a youth at Skate Park beside Somerset MRT Station, and having a flick knife.

Ko was remanded at the Institute of Mental Health for further psychiatric examination.

He will appear in court on Jan 16.
