AN AIRPORT worker who entered the Changi Airport's arrival transit hall to pass some money to her son on her off-day was fined $700 on Monday for misusing her pass.
Lim Miaw Kiang, 51, admitted to an offence under the Protected Area and Protected Places Act.
A magistrate's court heard that Lim, a cashier, had wanted to pass $400 to her 19-year-old son, an arriving passenger from Hongkong, to buy some liquor last Saturday evening.
But a Cisco auxiliary officer found out that Lim had misued her airport seasonal pass when she was not on any official duty or business. He reported her to the Airport Police.
She could have been fined up to $1,000 or jailed for up to two years or both for the offence.
