TWO men were hauled to court on Thursday for punching and kicking a club patron in October.

Eugene Ong Phut Chai, 40, who is self-employed, and Aaron Lee Boon Ping, 32, a salesman, are accused of causing hurt to Mr Gokal Sahin, 27, an IT specialist, at Attica club in Clarke Quay at about 2.40am on Oct 19.

Ong also allegedly threatened to get friends to smash up the premises.

Both men are represented by lawyers.

The duo will be back in court on Jan 5.

Ong was offered bail of $8,000. His passport was impounded.

If convicted, they can be jailed for up to two years and/or fined up to $5000 for causing hurt.

The threat charge carries a punishment of two years or fine or both.
