TWENTY-THREE years after Aids first surfaced in Singapore, the first Aids orphans here have emerged; among them are a pair of siblings who lost both parents to the disease.
The KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH) told The Straits Times the two children are now being cared for by foster parents.
One sibling is also infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), which causes Aids, but the child does not know about the diagnosis.
