SHOPPERS with a hankering for the latest high-tech mobile phone - the sleek, ultra-fast HTC Touch HD - will have to get it from StarHub when it goes on sale tomorrow.
The arrangement is the latest salvo in the ongoing battle between Singapore's three mobile operators, which have begun offering 'exclusive' phone models in an effort to attract customers.
Industry observers believe that such deals will be increasingly commonplace, especially for sought-after models, as the telcos scramble for ways to poach their competitors' customers while locking in their own in the competitive phone market.
