THE 40-year-old part-time cashier looks well, but she has to pop six pills every day to continue doing so.
She was diagnosed with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) two years ago, after landing in hospital with a related illness.
She is one of the patients featured in a photography exhibition on people living with HIV in Singapore, which aims to reduce stigmatisation by showing that they lead normal lives like normal people.
The exhibition was launched by Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan on Monday, which is World Aids Day, at Vivocity's East Court, where it will be on until this Friday.
The exhibition will have a second run at Tan Tock Seng Hospital's (TTSH) atrium from Dec 15 to 17.
The 54 photographs were taken by The Straits Times' deputy picture editor Stephanie Yeow, Chinese daily newspaper Lianhe Zaobao's chief photographer Lee Tiah Khee and TTSH's photographer Henry Lim.
