Last Friday afternoon, a 56-year-old woman lost $200 while shopping at a mall along Bugis Street, said police.
She was in one of the shops at the mall when she felt someone brush against her left hand.
Shortly later, she found her handbag, which she carried on her left shoulder, unzipped and her wallet missing. She also lost some personal documents in her wallet.
In another case, a 65-year-old woman lost $80 after her wallet was stolen on Saturday morning.
She last checked her bag when she was at a shopping mall along Bugis Street.
But when she was about to make payment at a market along Bugis Street, she found her bag unzipped and her wallet, containing $80 and some personal documents, missing.
