To the family of Miss Lo Hwei Yen, I do not know Miss Lo in person, but I believe a lot of us out here share your loss ... It is indeed a very tragic incident, but hopefully, all of you may find the strength to continue with your lives ... and for those cowards who had committed such a horrendous crime against her, I am sure they will pay for their crime very soon, and die from a damn painful slow death!!! With deepest condolences ... :(
Thousands of condolence messages have been posted for Ms Lo and her family members through these Facebook groups and also on The Straits Times online discussion board.
Many of these messages come from Singaporeans who do not know the victim and her family personally.

'No words we say or post will make any difference, but I want the family to know that there are people out there who grieve with them in times like this...'
A post also came from across the crossway from Mr Muhamad Abdullah of Kuala Lumpur. He wrote: 'It saddens men to note what extremism in the name of religion has led to the passing of a beautiful yet innocent soul like Ms Lo.

Ms Daphne Kuah wrote: 'Please be dressed in BLACK GLAMOUR, the way she will like.
'This is the dress code aligned with family members. Appreciate if all guests can come as per dress code. Yen loves glamour. She is the glamour of every party.
'This is the last one we are having with her. And we want it to be a beautiful one - the way she would have wanted...'
