MOTORISTS will be able to enter and exit the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) from Bedok North Avenue 3 from 4pm on Saturday.
The Land Transport Authority said in a statement on Tuesday that the new interchange will benefit residents in the Bedok North Estate and serve as an alternative to the current Bedok North and Simei exit.
Along with the four new slip roads onto and off the PIE, LTA has also widened Bedok North Avenue 3 to three lanes from two lanes.
Two new pedestrian overhead bridges were also built and five bus shelters were upgraded.
The entire project took about 2 1/2 years and cost $20.5 million.
