THREE more people were each fined $5,000 on Thursday for corruptly giving or agreeing to give bribes to a senior accounts manager to pick them as winners of Shell fuel vouchers.
Lee Chee Khaw, 32, Neo Teng Teck, 31, and Steven Tan Chye Leng, 32, pleaded guilty in a district court.
Last week, six motorists, including a woman, were each fined between $5,000 and $6,000 for giving or agreeing to give cash or Shell vouchers to Teh Gim Leng, then a senior accounts manager with MediaCorp Enterprises, in return for choosing them as lucky draw winners in the Shell promotion campaign held last year.
The prize that the 'winners'' got was $5,000 worth of Shell fuel vouchers.
Teh, 29, has been dealt with.
In Thursday's cases, Lee gave $1,400 to Teh last Nov 5 while Neo gave $2,500 worth of Shell fuel vouchers on Oct 30 last year.
In the case of Tan, he corruptly agreed to give $2,500 to Teh through another person.
But before he could make payment, the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau stepped in.
Each of the trio could have been fined up to $100,000 and/or jailed for up to five years.
