NAVY divers have found the body of a shipyard worker who fell into the waters while working on a barge docked at Pandan Crescent on Tuesday morning.
After several hours of search, they fished out the body of Mr Suresh Ramakrishnan, a Malaysian, at about 4.15 pm.
The victim was working on the scaffoldings at the front of the barge in the shipyyard of Kim Heng Marine and Oil Field when he slipped and fell into the waters.
It is believed he was wearing a safety harness.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) received a call about the mishap at 10.20 am.
A search and rescue operation was immediately mounted.
