TWO Australian nationals were charged in court on Friday for allegedly removing the hard drives of laptop computers belonging to a company last year.
The hard drives are said to contain important data belonging to their previous employer, private English language school Total Literacy.
The men, Stephen Anthony Coolican, 47, and Gregory Joe Murar, 43, who had done business development work for Total Literacy were alleged to have committed the offence sometime between September and November last year, court papers said.
They were charged under the Computer Misuse Act.
If found guilty, they can be sentenced to a maximum of three years' jail and fined $10,000.
