THE Government's commitment to education will not waver even in an economic downturn.
That was the assurance given by Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng to parents at the Bishan East PCF kindergarten graduation ceremony today.
Though formal education here begins at primary school, quality pre-school education is important to ensure a strong foundation, said Mr Wong who is also the MP for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC.
That is why the Ministry of Education will pump in over $30 million next year to improve the quality of pre-school education.
