By Sujin Thomas
A JOBLESS man who pushed two pieces of metal off the fourth storey of a block in Admiralty Drive was given six months' supervised probation in a district court on Tuesday.

On March 11, Wong Meng Choon, 36, who has a history of mental illness, had gone to visit his mother at Block 353C Admiralty Drive, said court documents.

When he reached the fourth floor of the block, he spotted some metal sheets at the lift landing which were loose and dented and pushed them off the building.

They landed on the second-floor parapet of the building. No one was injured in the incident.

For committing the rash act, he could have been been jailed for six months and fined $2,500.
