THE Land Transport Authority has bought airtime on four radio channels to broadcast more up-to-the-minute traffic news.
From Oct 28, stations 938LIVE, Capital 95.8FM, Warna 94.2FM and Oli 96.8FM will broadcast traffic updates up to five times more frequently than during the current morning and evening peaks.
Motorists will be alerted to accidents, vehicle breakdowns, obstructions and road works as well as emergency situations.
The LTA hopes this initiative will help motorists to better plan their routes.
