A BOY and a woman in Woodlands fell prey to snatch thieves on Wednesday.
In the first case, a 12-year-old boy had his his $150 cellphone snatched on Wednesday morning.
He was approached at the ground floor lift landing of Block 541, Woodlands Drive 16 by two men.
While one distracted him by asking to borrow his cellphone, the second grabbed the phone and ran off.
Both men are described as tanned, in their mid-20s and have tattoos between their eyebrows.
The first man was dressed in a t-shirt, black-and-white jacket and three-quartered blue pants.
The second man has a piercing on his lip and was dressed in a brown t-shirt and black jeans.
In the second incident, a woman in her 40s lost her $350 cellphone to a snatch thief on Wednesday afternoon.
She was walking and talking on her cellphone when an unknown man came towards her from the side and grabbed her phone at Block 325, Woodlands Street 32.
She gave chase but could not catch up.
The man is described as tanned, in his 20s, and about 1.6m tall. He was dressed in a black t-shirt, brown shorts and canvas shoes. He also had on a black cap and was carrying a black sling bag.
