CHINESE national Wang Zhijian, who is linked to the deaths of three women in Yishun about two weeks ago, was back in the district court on Friday morning.

The 42-year-old was charged with the murder of Feng Jianyu, 17, and the attempted murder of a 15-year-old girl, who is now recovering in hospital.

He had already been charged for the murder of Ms Zhang Meng, 42, and will be remanded at the Complex Medical Centre of Changi Prison (CMC) for a psychiatric assessment.

He sat expressionless in the dock, with the smiles he gave reporters and photographers as he left Block 349 Yishun Avenue 11 with detectives on Tuesday now absent.

Across the crowded court room, sat the 15-year-old's father Mr Lee Wen Ge, believed to be in his 40s, who arrived here from China last Sunday.

His ex-wife, Madam Yang Jie, 36, also a China national, was found at the foot of the same block.

Wang, who donned a red polo t-shirt, stopped to stare at Mr Lee just as he was being led out of the court room by police officers.

Mr Lee told reporters afterwards: 'I came here today to have a good look at him (Wang).'

'This man has caused harm to my daughter and I'm very angry. I'm trying to settle my daughter's medical treatment and will take her back to China with me very soon,' he added.
