TO celebrate Hari Raya Puasa, the Istana grounds will be open to the public on Wednesday from 8.30am to 6 pm.
Farrer Park Primary School Band, Temasek Polytechnic Band and Nanyang Polytechnic Percussion Ensemble will perform at the open house.
There will also be a sale of Istana souvenirs, with proceeds going to charity.
Admission to the Istana grounds is free for Singaporean and Singapore permanent residents. For other visitors, an entrance fee of $1 per person is charged.
A tour of selected function rooms in the Istana building to view a display of gifts presented to the President and the Prime Minister by foreign dignitaries is available at $2. Tickets are on sale till 5.30pm.
