StarHub's new video service
By Cara van Miriah
THE latest episode of CSI just 24 hours after it has been broadcast in the United States.

The hottest TVB dramas, in both Cantonese and Mandarin versions, at $1 an episode at the touch of a button.

And a new Hokkien cable channel.

These are just some of the new StarHub offerings available from Wednesday. StarHub unveiled details of these new video-on-demand services on Tuesday.

The offering comes hot on the heels of rival cable provider SingTel's July announcement.

SingTel, in a tie-up with Disney-ABC International Television, Twentieth Century Fox and Warner Bros International Television Distribution, said that it will offer the latest American TV hits such as Grey's Anatomy and Prison Break, as soon as a day after they have been shown in the US on its digital pay-TV service, mioTV.

StarHub's comprehensive spread of on-demand offerings include multi-language programmes.

Besides television series from Hong Kong's TVB and Korean dramas, which will be broadcast in dual sound, StarHub's programming includes Hollywood, Malay, Indonesian, Tamil and Bollywood movies as well as sports.
