More cycling signs put up
By Christopher Tan
MORE signs alerting drivers to cyclists on the road will be put up from next Monday.

The Land Transport Authority on Thursday said roads in the northern and western parts of the island - such as Upper Thomson Road, Mandai Road, West Coast Road and Tuas Road - will sport these black-and-white signs.

Together with signs put up late last year in the east, 119 would be up by next week.

The Safe Cyclists Task Force (SCTF), which helped push for these signs, welcome the proliferation.

Avid cyclist and SCTF member Leo Tan said the signs also 'stand as symbolic recognition by the state that motorists must share the roads with cyclists''.
