A NEW magazine focusing on non-profit charity debuted on Tuesday.
The inaugural issue of the magazine, Social Space, produced by the Lien Centre for Social Innovation, was launched by Mr Gerald Ee, chairman of the National Kidney Foundation and also member of the Lien Centre Board at the Singapore Management University.
The 100-page magazine, which will be published annually, retails at $18 at selected bookstores.
The Lien Centre at SMU will be distributing the copies of the first issue to community leaders and practitioners in the not-for-profit sector.
The writers for the inaugural issue included Mr Willie Cheng, chairman of the Lien Centre board, who touched on the 'charity ecosystem', Dr Seet Ai Mee and Dr R. Akhileswaran on how to manage health-care charities, as well as interviews with Mr Ee on how to give meaningfully.
