Tiger Airways offers 9-cent one-way ticket from S'pore to KL

LOG on to Tiger Airways' website now and pay as low as 9 cents for a one-way ticket from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur and Padang, Indonesia.

A day after the low-cost carrier announced its first set of profits in three years, Tiger is offering 30,000 seats to 11 of its destinations out of Singapore.

One-way fares start at a low of 9 cents for short flights and go up to $39.99 for longer sectors to Bangalore, India.

The sale starts now and ends Aug 17 for travel between Aug 30 and end-September which includes the one week school break.

Ms Rosalynn Tay, managing director of Tiger Airways Singapore said: 'Tiger Airways understands what works when it comes to low fare flying. It's simple. Its the low low fares!

'Passengers know it's not the frequent flyer points and it's not which terminal you fly out of that matters.

'The most important factor is low low fares to where you want to go. Get in quick - with prices like these they won't stick around long.'
