Catholic High donates $13,200 to ST school pocket fund
CATHOLIC High School donated $13,209.80 to The Straits Times School Pocket Money fund on Friday.
This was collected from the sale of National Day t-shirts printed by the school, and donations from parents and alumni members.
To commemorate National Day, a 43-km walk was origninally planned. It was switched to a 5km trek from MacRitchie Reservoir to Catholic High School due to the rainy weather.
The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund has supported 8,000 children this year with their daily allowance. They are given $35 a month, which is set to increase because of rising costs.
