More than 100 family members and close friends of lawyer Lo Hwei Yen gathered at her wake last night to celebrate her life.
Champagne, her favourite drink, flowed while retro tunes played in the background. Her husband, Mr Michael Puhaindran, said he had planned for the event to coincide with nightclub Zouk's popular Mambo Night, which she loved.
'This is Yen's party, make sure you get yourselves a drink,' he urged the guests.
There was not a dry eye in sight as friends and family delivered loving tributes. Mr Puhaindran tried to put on a brave front, but he was clearly struggling to hold back tears. 'Let's not talk about her as if she is gone. Let's talk about her as if she is right here. She wants us to live on,' he said.
