What it does: Helps children with facial deformities and cleft lips and palates. In Singapore, the organisation concentrates on post-operative care such as speech therapy and counselling.
Coming soon: Ballet performance by Dance Spectrum International students on Dec 5. All of the proceeds go to Operation Smile Singapore.

When it was set up: May 2006
What it does: Improve the survival and cure rates of children with cancer in Singapore and the region. It hopes to achieve this via a partnership with
St Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis in the United States, National University Hospital (NUH), and National University of Singapore. It set up the Viva-University Children's Cancer Centre at NUH.

MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION
When it was set up: April 2003
What it does: Grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. Wishes fall into four main categories: to have something, be somebody, go somewhere, or meet someone special. For example, children have asked for laptops, wheelchairs, and trips to Disneyland.
Coming soon: Charity golf tournament on May 14. All proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
