Benefits: Families get monthly subsidies of up to $340, on top of an initial lump sum of $1,000.
Who is eligible: Families with incomes of up to $1,800 a month.
How: Enrol the child in a PAP Community Foundation (PCF) childcare centre to benefit from the PCF Headstart Fund.
Benefits: Children who qualify will get $50 a month, while those with special needs will receive twice the amount.
Who is eligible: Families whose incomes do not exceed $500 per capita a month.
How: Enrol the child in one of the 39 NTUC childcare centres to benefit from the NTUC Childcare Bright Horizons Fund.
Benefits: The fund will give a subsidy capped at $200 per child each month, on top of any existing subsidies received by the family.
Who is eligible: Families with net household income not exceeding $1,500 a month or those with per capita income not exceeding $450 a month, financially strapped single parents and permanent residents.
