JAKARTA - A 5.8-MAGNITUDE earthquake struck off the coast of the Indonesian island of Sulawei on Friday, the US Geological Survey said, but there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
The quake hit at 5.40 am 92 kilometres south east of Gorontalo in the north of the island at a depth of 139 kilometres, the USGS said.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre did not issue a tsunami warning. -- AFP
