After speaking at a school here on Thursday, the princess was asked whether she agreed with protesters who said they were acting on behalf of the monarchy.
'I don't think so,' she replied. 'They do things for themselves.'
One protest leader wants to abandon the popularly elected Parliament for one where the majority would be appointed. Some academics have said the plan would enhance the power of the military and monarchy.
