STI closes 2.82% lower
SINGAPORE shares closed lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) falling 52.97 points, or 2.82 per cent to 1,827.61 points.
About 991 million shares were traded.
Losers beat gainers 270 to 121.
