STI closes 0.16% lower
SINGAPORE shares closed lower on Wednesday with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 2.80 points, or 0.16 per cent, at 1,779.29 points.
A total of 1.08 billion shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 199 to 195.
