STI closes 1.29% higher
SINGAPORE shares closed higher on Friday with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 22.05 points, or 1.29 per cent, at 1,732.57.
Up to 1.26 billion shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 196 to 181.
