Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong shuttled from bilateral meeting to bilateral meeting at the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Summit on Saturday.
After being received by Peruvian President Alan Garcia at the Government Palace, it was back to his hotel for a meeting with newly-elected New Zealand premier John Key.
They discussed the global financial crisis and regional developments. They are due to meet again next month for the signing of the Asean-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement.
After the leaders' retreat at the Defence Ministry Convention Centre, Mr Lee and Malaysia's Deputy Premier Najib Razak headed straight to another room in the building where their foreign ministers and officials were waiting.
Mr Najib was here for the Apec summit as Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi is on official trips to Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
During their half-hour meeting, Mr Lee and Mr Najib, who is slated to take over as prime minister next March, reaffirmed the two countries' positive bilateral ties and agreed to continue to explore ways to advance relations.
Then Mr Lee and the Singapore delegation were off to the Sheraton hotel to meet South Korean President Lee Myung Bak.
The two leaders exchanged views on how each country was mitigating the effects of the economic downturn, said a statement from Mr Lee's office.
The Singapore leader left Lima for Sao Paolo in Brazil yesterday.
