Stars' phones get confiscated

NEW YORK - MADONNA, Rihanna, Beyonce Knowles, Alicia Keys, Mary J Blige and other celebrity guests had their mobile phones and cameras confiscated before they were allowed into Jennifer Lopez's 40th birthday party.

According to media reports on Tuesday, the who's who of stars were requested to leave their phones and cameras at the door before they were allowed intoNew York's Hotel Griffou for the event.

Although the strict rules angered some guests, others like Madonna and Rihanna reportedly used the increased privacy to dance 'exuberantly'.

Entertainment website Bang Showbiz reported that the dance music was provided by Rob Base and DJ EZ's hit It Takes Two. -- AFP
