Indie goes Rock
FOR two lucky indie bands, performing at this year's Rock The Sub concert at The Substation Theatre might kickstart an international music career.

The three-year-old indie music event, organised yearly by The Substation and Timbre Music, a music consultancy and concept agency arm of the Ublues group, is introducing two new programmes.

A mentorship programme will reward a new, upcoming band with a makeover and a photoshoot.

And a band exchange programme will offer another band a chance to tour the Philippines.

Mr Danny Loong, deputy managing director of Ublues Group, will mentor three bands: For This Cycle, Postbox and Silhouette, and at the end of it, one of them will be selected for the photo shoot and makeover.
