SINGAPORE-BORN actress Julia Nickson, who found fame acting opposite Sylvester Stallone, now wants to spend more time here to build a career in the thriving local arts and theatre scene. The actress of English and Chinese descent is best known for her role as the Vietnamese freedom fighter in Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985) and was formerly married to David Soul of the 1970s hit TV series, Starsky And Hutch.
The 50-year-old, who has been living in the United States for over 30 years and stays with her aunt when she is in Singapore, is here to promote her latest indie film Dim Sum Funeral (2008), which is a sell-out success at the Singapore International Film Festival (SIFF) now on.
