LOS ANGELES - VETERAN US actor Stacy Keach fell victim to a mild stroke in Los Angeles but should not suffer any impairment from it, his spokesman said on Wednesday.

Keach, 67, felt discomfort on Tuesday while on stage performing in the role of US president Richard Nixon in the hit play Frost/Nixon, according to his spokesman.

Famed for his boxer role in director John Huston's 1972 movie Fat City and as the 1980s television detective Mike Hammer, Keach was hospitalised and will stay for a day for observation. -- AFP
