LONDON - FORMER Big Brother housemate and tabloid star Jade Goody revealed on Wednesday that she begged doctors to kill her after she was diagnosed with cancer.

In an interview with OK magazine, Goody, 27, said she 'just wanted to give up' when she realised her disease was terminal.

According to a report on news website ninemsn.com, Goody said: "I said to my doctors, 'I just want to go now, just give me an injection or a tablet. Let me go and let my kids get on with their lives'."

"I was like, 'God, why would you give me two lovely kids, only to take them away again?'," she said.

She added that she wanted her two sons - Bobby, 5, and Freddy, 4 - to remember when she was healthy.

Goody came to prominence as a contestant on the reality TV show Big Brother in 2002 and was diagnosed with cervical cancer last August.

She was told that she only had about 8 weeks to live some weeks ago and has been both criticised and praised for her desire to 'die in the spotlight' as she plans to hold media interviews up until she dies.
