WEDDING dress sponsors take note. Soon-to-be bride Fann Wong wants her white gown to be 'something like a family heirloom, one that can be passed down from generation to generation'.

They were appearing in public as a couple for the first time since last April's announcement of their upcoming nuptials.

Lee had wanted to propose on three occasions but his girlfriend was travelling each time. He finally succeeded in popping the question, and getting a 'yes', on the second day of Chinese New Year last year.

If Fann had her way, the wedding would be held on a cruise ship.

But since none is expected to set sail on her big day in September, the party will have to be on dry land.

The couple have not confirmed a venue, but said it must accommodate all their relatives and friends, said to number about 1,000.

'The guest list will be a bomb,' said Fann.

Baby milk powder sponsors should also take note: The MediaCorp actress wants children, 'hopefully in less than three to four years', she said.

The pair witnessed 27 couples announce their engagements in public at yesterday's event.

In their new movie, they play a pair of bickering engaged celebrities whose sham marriage is engineered by their managers to further their careers.

The romantic comedy, helmed by Thai director Ekachai Uekrongtham, opens on Jan 25.
