IN HER 1980s hit song Busy And Blind, Sylvia Chang sings of contemporary life as a flurry of phone calls that have to be answered, memos that need to be written and doors and drawers that have to be opened or closed.

As a movie-maker, she is just as preoccupied with the hustle and bustle. Her films such as Tempting Heart (1999) and 20 30 40 (2004) are populated by urbanites looking for love, or some sort of connection or meaning while coping with their hectic lives.
