NEW YORK - HOLLYWOOD actor Matt Dillon has been arrested in Vermont and charged with speeding, police said ON Wednesday.
Dillon, 44, who got a 2006 Oscar nomination for the movie Crash, was driving at 106 miles an hour (171kmh) in a maximum 65 miles an hour (105kmh) zone, Vermont police Sergeant Tara Thomas told AFP.
He was finger-printed, photographed and freed. He must appear in court on January 21st, Sgt Thomas said.
If found guilty he faces up to three months imprisonment, or a fine of up to US$300 (S$430), or both, she said.
Sgt Thomas described the star, also well known for his role in There's something about Mary, as 'extremely cooperative, very polite'. -- AFP
