INTERNATIONAL DJs are not the only main draw at this year's ZoukOut.
For the first time, revellers will be treated to a fireworks display at the outdoor event on Saturday next week.
Along with around 22 foreign and local DJs and bands performing at the annual beach party, the fireworks display has hiked event expenses to more than $1.6 million, making it one of the costliest ZoukOuts.
While most nightspots are scaling back on lavish productions, 17-year-old dance club Zouk is sparing no expense to make its party an unforgettable experience.
Last year's bash featured a parachutist jumping from a helicopter, wowing the crowd with a smooth landing on Siloso Beach at midnight.
Zouk's marketing manager Tracy Phillips tells Life!: 'We're always trying to elevate the ZoukOut experience every year. We felt nothing is quite as magical as fireworks and after eight years, we're glad we can add this to the production.'
The fireworks will be launched from a small island opposite Siloso Beach. On the timing, Ms Phillips says: 'We want to keep it a surprise.'
